Dear new-old friends,
I forgot another name, which has a special
fragrance: it is Mr.Otto Schily. Secretary of the State in Germany.
"Minister" of the Interior, that means inner safety
and such nice things. He is the oldest in the Berlin-Crew, but
the one, who is being heard by all sides.
So, what can we learn of this? Miss MacCoun
is able to write about observable things without observing them
herself. How do we call that? Full of prejudices? And what will
follow those? Superstition?
No wonder she doesn't acknowledge Mr.Goesch
in its real figure.
Does she have something to do with the group,
following Valentin Tomberg?

I don't know the lady, but from the article
it would seem so.

Yes, Rolf.
She talked about Tomberg often on the Ark.
A good many Arkers were into Tomberg, Powell.

Hey Paulina and All,
In this Kabbalah class it is very interesting
how the greatest thing about Eve/Havah is that she accepted the
challenge of God to be like God. And in this the world comes
to experience all the good and all the bad on its way back to
Heaven. And there seems to be no other way. We descend to ascend.
What I experienced through the ones who challenge
Dr. Steiner and that includes Mr. Tomberg in a sense is that
he keeps the flow going in that there is a choice of things.
Our first inclination seems to be to negate it yet it is the
very thing that allows Anthroposophia to grow stronger in my
eyes.
If God wanted us to all be the same we would
be. But this was not the challenge of God. I think it would be
good for us students of Steiner to begin looking at things as
challenging us personally to grow versus making the thing wrong
and ahrimanic and luciferic and bad for us. I think we need other
perspectives like Mr. Tomberg. I think his work challenges us
to think/understand if we really know what we think we do. And
if so, how do we know it?
Kabbalah Monday,
Dottie

Andrea shortly comments:
Well, the matter is not in the actual fact
if CMCC is inside some "Tomberghian group" but in the
very fact that a common ground lies under the feet of those who
spend tiime in order to demonstrate some "Steiner's failure"
or "weakness". So over and over, after having thrown
"the baby with the bathwater" they are compelled to
find some "positive" issue.
So they end up in "re-discoverng"
some old "traditional truth", that was somewhat alive
before our consciousness soul age, becoming now on and on out
of time, (in spite of the goodwill of those involved in it who
are, sometimes, able the same to drink some spiritual drop inside
these old cups: Catholicism, Hermeticism, Native American Spirituality,
here and there some Yoga, Zen or Buddhism and so on.

Thank You, Paulina, for Your information!
I got the impression after a quarter of an hour.
Miss MacCoun is full of sympathy for the poor
guy Heinrich Goesch, who was "mistreated" by Dr.Steiner
- as she tries to show - in a crisis in Dornach 1915. I just
have the problem here in Germany, that Heinrich Goesch later
wrote an article in a newspaper, wherein he described the rites
of Memphis-Misraim, which Dr.Steiner newly recreated. Some shabby
journalist has taken his descriptions and used them to illustrate
"satanic" rituals and names Rudolf Steiner and Marie
von Sievers as the masters.
Heinrich Goesch became a ferocious enemy of
the whole society, after the Vorstand, not Rudolf Steiner, who
was not there, when the session took place, declared Goeschs
actions to be dislocated in the society. He had to go.
Miss MacCoun is lying about the long letter,
which Goesch wrote to Dr. Steiner. She says, he was respectful
and loyal and there were only one passage in his letter, which
were the worst, which Dr.Steiner cited. The rest of his letter
showed - according to Miss MacCoun - his loyalty and friendship.
Indeed, Heinrich Goesch told Dr. Steiner,
that he had an occult influence on his followers - he means the
members of the society. He would not give them full liberty.
And in his deeds, and this is repeated not only once in Goeschs
letter, the evil is working.
According to Dr.Heinrich Goesch, there were
rumours and discussions between the members concerning Dr. Steiners
behaviour. In the midst of his insinuations, Goesch declares
himself again and again, that he sees Dr.Steiner as his spiritual
leader! That he is talking in full loyalty. But he wants Dr.Steiner
to see, that his way leads the members into the hands of the
evil. There's two souls in this man.
What could Dr.Steiner do? In his next lecture
he read the whole letter to the members. He said, I don't want
to discuss this (in the sense of argue about it with one another).
You should declare, whether this is true. Do You all think like
him? If so, I could not work any more in this society. In this
way he discusses the letter himself (in the sense of laying the
lines out). Miss MacCoun declares, Dr. Steiner says at the beginning,
he will not discuss the letter but he discusses it afterwards.
He gives a promise and breaks it afterwards. - Is there anything
more ridiculous? It is not only ridiculous. It is in a way some
kind of devillish cleverness.
She describes Heinrich Goesch as a poor underdog,
but keeps quiet about the lunatic woolfs whistle, which came
out of his writing. The letter of Goesch is full of the worst
insinuations and incriminations, but without giving any example.
So Dr. Steiner could not even argue against it! He could only
ask: Do You think the same or not. - But Miss MacCoun declares,
that by reading the letter to the gathered members Dr. Steiner
broke another promise. Which one, she never declares. If You
get a letter, describing, that there are many members who think
You are leading them to the evil, without giving a hint by which
way, than You have the right to ask them, whether they have the
described feelings. Rudolf Steiner brought it into the open.
And after two or three days the members organized a special meeting
without Dr. Steiner and excluded Goesch. - Miss MacCoun interpretes
this as a sign of Dr. Steiners power over the members.
This goes on and on. There are different ways
to understand MissMacCoun. I will not describe them at the moment.
But ine thing is for sure: she is not true, she lies. Whatever
her reasons may be: she lies. She is not only counfuse.
Persons like her challenge us to discover
the truth. We thank her for that. There are other challenges
like her.
Rolf
