Dear Friends,
I am reading a wonderful book on Dr. Steiner
by some students of his in the early years. One section speaks
on their experiences of what is was like to be artists of various
nations in Switzerland where Dr. Steiner was working on the Goetheanum.
I was reading this passage at a little Paris
breakfast shoppe with very small tables sitting next to one another.
I noticed a man in his sixties trying to figure out if he should
sit down right next and across from me. He finally decided to
sit and I felt him look over to me and I just kept reading. I
turn a page and he says 'oh my goodness is that the Goetheanum
you are reading about. And I said yes it is but actually I am
reading a book on Dr. Steiner. And he said 'Yes, Dr. Steiner
I know of him he founded the Waldorf schools, you know there
is one right around the corner and all my friends and colleagues
and clients send their children to this school. So, I told him
it was refreshing to hear someone say that as I am in the midst
of a great debate regarding these schools dumbing the children
down and Dr. Steiner being a racist. And he said 'no, its just
the opposite. These are the most well rounded young people I
have ever met. They all go to great colleges and have great friends
and are knowledgeable about the arts and philosophy. It really
is an amazing education.' His client friend showed up and I just
about fell off my chair to see who it was. Needless to say we
have a wonderful conversation and here he is a man who has the
whole works of Goethe in German gifted to him by a client of
his in Germany.
All this leads me to thinking on how Dugan
used to allude to the point that Steiner should have done more
to stop the War in World War 1. It got really silly to the point
where I asked him what would have been good enough for Dugan,
was it that Dr. Steiner should have put himself on the front
lines? It's interesting to see all the Monday night quarterbacking
that goes on about this war and this is not even the great war
that took place 15 years after Dr. Steiner was already not with
us in the physical world. To discuss these matters as if there
were no real human feelings is a travesty to the people who lived
during those times.

The first task Steiner charged
us with in Dornach, immediately after war broke out, as the care
of the wounded. He mobilized everybody who knew anything about
it and asked that we take a course in first aid. At that time
there was no way of predictiong which direction the actions would
take. We were situated directly at the border. For a week everybody
expected the war to extend to Switzerland as well. The German
cannons in Baden were already turned our way, since the French
army unit stationed close to the border might penetrate Swiss
territory during its retreat to Belfort, a French fortification,
and thus violate Swiss neutrality. The units would march through
our valley and Baden would open fire on Arlesheim and Dornach.
This was obvious to the Doctor from the beginning, and he induced
us to learn how to bandage and transport casualities.
A mood of panic predominated;
people ran screaming out of their houses into the street. The
nearby thunder of the cannons would not cease; it was rumored
that the border had already been crossed and that there was street
fighting in Basel. General mobilization began in Switzerland;
the federal trains and streetcars were to be employed for military
purposes as soon as fighing should break out on Swiss soil. The
civilian population was to evacuate into the mountans after the
alarm was sounded; the defences of Switerzland was to start past
a point above Dornach; directly above the Goetheanum artillery
was positioned. Our whole area was turned over to the war.
People packed, vehicles were
made ready in preparation for ligth into the mountains. One day
we were called into the canteen, asked to have money and lugge
within hand-reach, and to sleep fully clothed at night. The alarm
was expected during the night. We were to gather in front of
the canteen and then proceed into the mountains together with
the Doctor.
He was taciturn, calm and
sad. We usually saw him in the canteen where we met at lunchtime,
for afternoon tea, and into the evenings. At other times he had
rarely been there, but now he came daily, walked about among
us, or sat down somwehere on a bench. He looked infinitely tired.
He came for no obvious reason; he only wished to give us courage
with his presence.
But it became clear: life
in Dornach, the Goetheanum, we all were in danger.
I remember a meeting with
him; it was during the hours when we heard the first boom of
the cannons. We knew - there was war. But we had the feeling
it was far, far away; Switzerland is a neutral country and we
have a roof over our heads.
But suddenly one evening after
work, AAt and I went down hill to Arlesheim; in front of us the
peaceful little house of Dornach, beyond it the distance, the
flat country. There, on rare days, one can see the mountain ridges
of Alsace, though usually the plain dissolves in haze; but what
is that? Thunder? An odd, short rumble. The line of haze is different;
is that rain? Is that fog? Or smoke? Probably a thunderstorm
coming up - and below, between Dornach and the hills, stands
a lone black figure. Someone has stopped on the street with bent
head, irresolute, as if listening. What is he waiting for? The
thunder perhaps? We look at each other; Why that is the Doctor!
But why is he like this - without his accustomed certainity?
Why does he hesitate and seem not to know whether to go on or
not? He remains standing and listens to the thunder. Is this
indeed actually thunder? We are in Switzerland, in a peaceful
country; it cannot be otherwise. I don't even want to think the
thought that begins to form. The Doctor, who has seen us, waits
for us: Without greeting, he points with his eyes into the rumbling
distance, and I hear his deep voice: "The roar of the cannons?"
There can be no doubt - that is artillery. There was fighing
around Basel about this time and a French army unit was being
pushed off towards the Swiss border.
It was the thunder of cannons.
The three of us stood there in silence, then we wanted to go
on. He barely acknowledged our farewells and went on with lowerd
head, undecided, his ear still turned towards the direction of
the dull rumble.

The first reaction to the
war; we must commit ourselves more emphatically to our common
cause; all of us - Russian, Germans, Austrians, French, Poles
- we are all brothers in misfortune, we are all victims of criminal
politics; our 'politics' was devotion to the common cause, determinatino
to continue building. When Strauss, the Bavarian, was drafted
and had to join the services as a medical aide, he noted down
as many Russian words as possible so he would be able to help
wounded Russian prisoners. The motto that united us was "Love,
Solidarity, Responsibility."

The outbreak of the war brought
Steiner new, special problems; he had to guide the outbreaks
of nationalistic sentiment into sensible directions. Three weeks
later the first momentum of our spontaneous solidarity was quite
evidenly broken. All through September and through all of October
the storms in the canteen did not abate: The British and the
Russians gathered together in little groups, the Germans often
insisted very tactlessly that the war had been instigated by
the provocative attitude of England; the Russians countered with
the statement that a branch of neutrality amounts to barbarism.
Soon, theoretical debates changed to concrete incidents and endangered
the whole life of Dornach. Schuré's withdrawal from the
Anthroposophical Society, the nasty rumors out of France via
the French part of Switzerland, the duplicity of some Poles -
all this had very negative effects. All eyes were on the Doctor;
one secretly hoped that he would at last state: "Germany
is in the right!" or "Germany is to blame for all catastrophes!"
However, he did not acuse a single country, only the mendacity
of the press; and he recommended that one not believe the sensational
news and instead work undauntedly on the human aspect of true
culture...Everybody waited tensely for an unequivocal gesture.

It's funny reading this book after hearing
all the 'your guru' comments from the critics. It seems that
Dr. Steiner did not rule with an iron hand as some of the critics
will have one believe. In this book by three various artists
who lived and or worked around Dr. Steiner during his lifetime
it is clear that many of the decisions he left up to the people
who so involved themselves in the community. He was overruled
quite a bit in regards to various functions and artistic elements
of the Gotheanum. It reminds me of my early projects and how
I wanted to have control of my what I had put into motion. Somehow
along the lines I realized that in order to work with a group
that will help me accomplish my goal of not raising another generation
of kids on the streets I needed to allow others their own part
in my dream. And so it was with Dr. Steiner.

You're right Dottie, the unhistorical, unreal
depleted emotional content and utter gross ineptitude of these
pond scum feeders, fail time and time again to get a sense of
the mighty events that happened in that time frame. History was
getting sockode, ahriman's freight train was on a collison course.
Humanity had the threatening I AM capacity and the Christ Event
on the table and each lecture was a cringing nightmare in the
ahrimanic.
That is why from "Jesus to Christ"
scared them, and if we enter into the Science aspects of the
Father entering as Light forces into the blood of Jesus at the
Transfiguration, we scare the crap out of them. Fission, Fusion
and higher aspects of how the Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones
descended into this swirling blood, as NEW SUN in the single
human being, or St. Francis [sorry Francis was what I have meant],
scares the crap out of these people. They don't want us to really
let everyone on the planet know about nuclear energy and Ahriman's
"Church of the UnRisen Light". Nor do they want anyone
to know about the actual levels of higher I AM development, graduate
studies in Earth that Buddha is a degree level as is "Initiate"
a reality and Gandalf attended the School of Middle Earth.
Inside the meanderings of souls, just like
with Iraq, bashing the French, the Germans and patriotic bullshit
was the coin of the realm struggling round the Goetheanum as
well. The world was in a state of "Casablanca". When
poor Paris fell and the Love went out of Humphrey Bogart, ideals
were given over to the goose stepping beast.
Now that beast lived in motives just like
Peter's and Dan's. The intellectual cynicism they swim in and
passing down stream in time, offer their perverse thoughts against
the human spirit, seeding younger souls with the nonsense and
bitterness they carry as cultural sickness.
Indeed, to trace the source of the illness
that they research, Steiner does play a part, the part of the
cure. The disease is what humanity got, when Idealism was Shattered
over the heads of Europe. Disease is what they got when the I
AM fragments could not be served up with warm enthusiasm of Archangelic
Languages rejoicing in humanities spirit.

One has to always replay and re-understand
that powerful statement, "They know not what they do!"
Again, if there was any sense of history, the depth of what Steiner
was bringing, directly into Munich, against the depth of what
Ahriman festered and swarmed into brains, after 1879, when Michael
had exiled these cretures into the human environment...history
would follow a thread that sees, and who has stepped up and painted
what Germany would have become? Instead we wallow in the crash
and collapse of culture while the cure is still lingering.
The twin towers collapsing was terrible to
watch yet it is an ancient Tower of Babel and Shattering of the
Germanic potential image. Steiner had in the Folk Souls and all
of his work, the uniting of the tongues, the different languages
and Races under the new I AM. This failed tower of Babel - (which
translates into Pentecost and the tongues of flame) was growing
as an offered capacity of the I AM. It would not have been some
failed League of Nations or U.N. But the thought sphere, the
I AM and thinking sphere reaching into the community of nations,
where Archangelic Beings awaited gifts from the humanity that
had encountered the Christ. Why? Because the Archangelic Beings
will also evolve through humanity because the Christ came to
Earth. Humanity has the task of even educating and bringing forward
Higher Beings, because of the Christ.
It is clear that Peter and Diana really have
not come to terms with either simple Jesus or Cosmic Christ.
I ask you? How could they when history has become so distorted.
While my Anthrobabble may be hard to understand, it is right
on the very cutting edge of real history. The great editorial
and intellectual giant, Peter S, has not given his final judgement
on this Christ Event, this minor event in history. Therefore
please eat his diet of Anthrax for the brain until great St.
Peter decides that maybe there was a God. Well it is going to
be a cold day in August before Peter gets any juice but I don't
see that Peter is to blame, "He is not self conscious, self-
aware or inwardly awake enough to know what he does." and
he is not alone in such failed revisionism of downgrading human
intelligence instead of raising it.

Fatalism and Free Will; SuperMan-Ubermensch
and the Higher Self or Angelic community; Wagner Racism and Paganism-
Consciousness Soul imaginations and the foundations of the Magna
Carta; Aryan nonsense - early pioneer of I AM history of humanity;
Nietzsche God is Dead; all of these are history lessons in the
shattering of human idealism. Because DENIAL and dysfunction
seem not to apply to you, well we got news for you sweetie.
Diana and so many others have had no experience
in understanding how Steiner encouraged everyone to read the
philosphers, understand the shifting field of paradigms in Idealsm
or Non-idealism that were struggling for a perception of the
I AM. Steiner's POF is ground zero in freeing up misconceptions.
The POF is certainly not a text that preaches Spiritual Science.
It is a delicate focus on the mighty currents of Intelligence
that could fall either way, any way, and shatter the growing
perception of how the I AM lives in thinking. It treads a path
to lead the I AM out of its terminal state of denial.
It is fine for any of us to raise a family,
read the papers and be totally ignorant of how the dots connect.
You have been too lazy to face your own denial. This tells any
observer that the person isn't inspired about knowing if the
I AM exists. If humanity and all that was claimed of its great
potential is true or false. Otherwise these wishy washy fence
sitting babies want us to debate their darkness. Or they have
already temporarily given up on the issue until some relative
reports from their NDE or some child says, momma I dreamt I was
speaking another language and you weren't my mommy.
Fundamentalism of all sorts plays into these
pre-determined rest stops where thinking cannot go further. Thinking
does not go further because the universities failed to understand
history or understand God and the evolution of the I AM. Stopping
at Biblical hypocrisy is something that seems to upset all of
us, in both camps, across the boards. But weeding through the
threads was made easier with Steiner's POF. Or any simple interest
in humanity beyond your selfish desire for a little Marxist book
deal would reveal the deep foundations of what is being proclaimed
here.
When it comes to the utilitarian disease of
Americanism, Americans are untrained and lazy and tend to get
caught in all the traps that Tarjei indicated. While I don't
give a shit that Bush doesn't read the papers, I would have advisers
too, but Bush is a prime example of the failed American. But
these traps of the Shattered Idealism that surrounded the Germanic
Capacity to Think, were reverse paths that scattered attention
away from the I AM. Americans weren't too interested in seeing
the hidden story behind the atrocities that the failed Germanic
image represented. So people think they do not fear God, but
they are dreadfully hoping nobody will spot what lazy, unripe,
faulty misrepresentations they make, so that they can cruise
along as if Steiner did not happen. As if they understand what
was at stake in the nightmare over Europe.
These massive misreprentations of history
are filled with accepted thinking offshoots that are riddled
with errors. However when people say Philosophy, they imagine
that among the number of aspects of thinking about reality, Philosophy
is some game. This game has become "Political Science"
and Spin and remains as destructive now as it was at the time
of Steiner. To enter a university and encounter the twisted wreckage
of Idealism in humanity, washed on the rocks of cultural materialism
imputes power to the cunning and brainless like those existing
as NEOCONS today.
Rumsfeld 'Old Europe' New Europe. Let him
eat Spain, New Germany and France and let them rise as one component
of the mighty Threefold world that so scares the crap out of
Peter. These NEOCON thinkers from the School of Weimar's Leo
Stauss get right back to the point of failed, utterly failed,
thinking that remains ruining humanity and ruining the souls
who are too lazy to really encounter their own doubts.
There stands, in the mirage behind these shattered
events of the 20th century, derailed and dead end thought life
and thought systems that masquerade as Philosophy and History.
Coming to terms with a complete delusion is re-experiencing the
Shattering of Idealism in the soul and the ultimate tragedy that
hung over Europe. But cowards do not wish to meet that. Steiner
encouraged us to meet every Philosophy and every spun idea with
the insights we can gain from the I AM. Because thinking could
be traced back and identified, just as Tarjei has done and it
should be detailed even clearer.
So, it is true that laziness and delusion
do not equate with lying. Because by destroying the pathway to
understanding the I AM and diverting culture with monumental
catastrophe, Principalities and Powers, SUPERBEINGS behind the
scenes, understood full well the type of Earth uplifting reality
that is in the higher aspects of thinking. All members of the
Michael School are requested and required to view the immense
cross currents of thought and learn to navigate them. All lazy,
unexplored and foolish humans are required to find a little belief
system and ideology and take cover and hide themselves while
mountains fall upon them.
Then we have those who under condensed hatred
toward the hypocrisy they never bothered to penetrate with their
thinking, go rabid in denial of all great things, because great
things can't exist because they haven't been taught or cohesively
understand how to approach the profound sweep of the mighty history
of their own Immortal I AM. Some stupidly imagine God is gonna
do the thinking for them. Some betray the immortal part of their
I AM and refuse to see anything but the chaotic wreckage of the
debris of human culture left over from the ravages of the 20th
century.
It boils down to the soil, the race, the language,
the geographic location where the I AM learns to flower into
the Spirit. The difference between the soil and the Immortal
core reveals the whole nightmare that slammed Germany and the
Freight Train that was loaded with an Industiralized inhuman
cargo of fatally impressing on humanity the stigma of Ethnic
Cleansing. The soil of the immortal Core of the I AM was built
on the true mission of German Idealism or the fetching headlines
of debased Racial theories of Hitler and company. Give up your
immortal I AM quest for it is shouted down from every gasping
dead fish who thought they really GOT IT!
Clearly, Steiner is the cure not the disease.
But in order to find the cure you have to imagine that you can
attack Steiner because of your hatred towards your own laziness
and your own betrayal of understanding that humans are indeed
immortal and true miracles have happened on Earth...Buddha and
St. Francis.

I'll have to give credit where credit is due
here: The source of the above description of Adolf Hitler's reading
technique is Gerald Suster's book, "Hitler: Black Magician".
It's one of those books I borrowed when I wrote that article

It's amazing how many times it's been called
for to remind people of how Hitler thought and how he put his
ideology together. Absolutely amazing. Christian fundies blame
the holocaust Charles Darwin and HPB, atheists blame it on Christianity,
and Dan Dugan blames it on Rudolf Steiner because he spoke about
how blue eyes are related to [spiritual] intelligence, and just
like PS, DD seems to promote the impression that RS did not speak
to an intimate gathering of AS members who had acquired a solid
understanding of Anthroposophy during many years, but to some
kind of crowd reminiscent of Hitler's Nürenberg rallies.
